SmartContainers - Combines state-of-the-art container technology and integrated IoT sensors into a logistics ecosystem

One of the most important functional sections of the science of general logistics, directly related to the organization and management of the flow of material flow - transport logistics. Under current market conditions, transport logistics play a very important role, as any company interacts with the external environment.

In the process of this interaction, there are object movements: raw materials from the suppliers to the manufacturer, finished products from the manufacturer to the intermediaries and from them to the end users. It is necessary to provide a physical movement of similar freight in space on an optimal route with the smallest expenses. This is what the transport logistics does. 
Today logistics processes are becoming more complicated, and the branch is gaining more and more momentum. Total control over the supply chain can only provide a reliable technology, "sharpened" according to the needs of the industry. For these reasons, transport companies and merchandise owners are obliged to implement tools that can provide visibility, transparency and transaction accounting. 
The logistics of delivery concerns us almost every day: when we order a delicious pizza, sushi, we want them not to be cold, we prefer to eat them hot, if we heat - there will not be these sensations and this taste. That is, a certain level of temperature support is needed and this applies to many important areas of our lives, including the transport of any drug, a vital organ for transplantation.
And just for a better solution to these problems, a project called Smartcontainers is being created, which uses both its considerable experience in logistics and the benefits of the new blockchain technology.

The project team sets two important goals:
  1. Global expansion and use of smart containers that support certain physical characteristics in the field of medicine (transport of pharmaceuticals) and in the food industry. Fortunately, they have been doing this for years, and to be more precise, as already 8 years of work with scientific laboratories and have at least 100 patents for such inventions (see them in the picture). смарт4.jpg
  2. Creation of a decentralized logistic ecosystem called LOGI CHAIN, which will be open to all its users. This will get rid of unnecessary paper costs by sending emails to each point of arrival of the goods.
More and more consumers are shopping online, through retail chains. As e-commerce is at its peak, the role of parcel delivery services to the end-user is growing. This is a totally new type of supply chain, so transport companies will have to optimize their logistics according to the needs of the modern market. 
Such a transport logistics management platform enables the acquisition and exchange of real-time information throughout the supply chain, making carriers more competitive in the marketplace and enabling the owners of goods to control deliveries. Automation of logistics and cloud technologies can reduce labor costs, optimize processes, search for goods and transport goods, perform electronic auctions for services and online monitoring of goods.
In modern society there is a constant tendency to protect the environment. Such smart containers in the transportation industry will follow all of these environmental standards as well as corporate social responsibility standards. It offers not only reliability but also safety from the point of view of environmental solutions. 
As you can see, the project has very ambitious and useful objectives, and there are already two companies that are working with a good success. To develop and promote these beneficial ideas, the company sells its chips to ICO.
